About Us
In May 2013, as part of the Ribble Valley Jazz Festival, Valley Gigs, a Ribble Valley based music
and arts promotional group, ran a children’s and adult Ukulele workshop.
Such was the enthusiasm of the adult group that it was decided to start a Ukulele group.
This got underway in September 2013 and the number of players continues to grow.

The club rehearse every week and do performances under the name of
"The Clitheroe Ukulele Orchestra".
The Orchestra has performed at a variety of places/events including The Grand Clitheroe,
Oswaldwistle Civic Theatre, Townley Hall, Chipping Steam Festival, Burnley Mechanics, The Ribble Valley Jazz Festival and The Beatherder Festival.

They have also performed for residents in carehomes and at a number of community charity events.

The club meets weekly alternating between either the New Inn on Parson Lane, Clitheroe

or at St Michael and St John’s Parish Centre, Lowergate, Clitheroe.
